AGL Care Ltd employs a committed group of people who strive to make a positive difference to the Service Users’ lives. The Registered Manager at Rose Belle, Justin Ludhor is a registered 1st level nurse in Learning Disability from Kingston University. The acting Manager at The Tamarind, Steven Lingley, is an experienced Care Home Manager who has worked with people with Learning Disabilities for many years. They are both supported by Amy Beeharry, Service Manager, who is also a registered nurse with extensive managerial experience in the provision of services to people with Learning Disability. Currently, most of our support workers have completed their NVQ / QCF training and for others, it is in progress. We are aware that staff will always play a very important role in the service users’ welfare and to maximise this contribution, we employ staff in sufficient numbers with the relevant mix of skills to meet the service users’ needs. The staff ratio is determined by service users’ needs but is not less than 3:6 (Rose Belle) and 3:5 (The Tamarind).
Selection and placement will be confirmed after an assessment of needs have been carried out and will be based on:
Suitability of the home and its facilities to meet the prospective service users’ needs.
Staff’s ability and skills to satisfactorily meet service users’ assessed needs.
Compatibility with existing service users.
Acceptance of the home by the prospective service user / advocate / representatives following visits which are facilitated by the home.
